       First Ride on a TESLA - Y



Two Names that are sure to pop up each time you go through the pages of any Newspaper or  Magazine are TESLA and ELON MUSK . 

TESLA is the GoTo name in the Automobile Market if one has the Money to splash around and an Inclination for Swanky Hitech Cars.

ELON MUSK is amongst , if not the Richest Person on our Planet right now . He  is the proud owner of many  such Space Age creations  which include  Space Ships and High Speed Rockets for Manned Flights into the Outer Space as a passtime for the very rich . He is also  the Owner of the Firm that Manufactures the famed TESLA Cars .

Yours Truly had the fortune of travelling in one such TESLA Y Model Car , though for a very short distance of just 20 Kilometres . 

We , the Five of us were on our  way back from Lutheran College and School at Regina after participating in an event as we  Parents/Grandparents were introduced to the new High School of my Granddaughter. 

We ,  being Five of us had saught the Services of an Uber Van to take us back home after the function .

The Uber services responded with a message that a Tesla was on it's way to pick us up . We were surprised as to how the Six of us including the Driver could be accommodated in a Car no bigger than a Hyundai Elantra .

Sure enough , the Car arrived and the driver opened the boot and pressed a button.  As if by  magic , a hitherto unseen Mechanical Contraption unfolded and a seating arrangement for TWO was in place.

Comfortably Seated with a space for one more left vacant , we were on our way back home .

More surprise was to follow , the Driver put the car on Cruise Control  Mode and assumed an almost  Budha like stance behind the wheel . The Traffic Signals and maneuvering through the rather heavy Late Evening Traffic was all taken care by the Car itself without the Driver having to make any move . Bonus ofcourse was the Ilayaraja music on the Tirunelveli FM Channel which was tuned into by the Driver on the Car's Music System. 

I had always wondered as to why a person in his right mind would shell out a whopping 90000$ or an equivalent of 72 Lakh Rupees on a Contraption that takes you from one place to another .

My Twenty Kilometer Travel on a Tesla - Y Series Vehicle has started to change that mindset .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
