These repeated phone calls were becoming a bit of nuisance now for Somesh , he wanted to make his stand on the issue absolutely clear ,

SOMESH : "Listen , I have been telling you this often , time and again whenever you have raised this topic , I am not interested in a marriage , now or for atleast the next 2 years " .

Another call interrupts his call

Hello Appa I am glad you have also called at the right time , I am now making this a 3 way call. Do me a favour please take make my point very clear once and for all , I am getting absolutely fed up with this . Now that all 3 of us are on line please note that it is NO MARRIAGE FOR NOW , do I make myself clear .


Dad on the phone to the third person on the call .

" Listen , we have no intention of getting our son married now or anytime soon , WE want him to be happy for some more time before he takes the plunge . Take my case , my wife is stuck in SINGAPORE for the last 4 months due to the travel restrictions in force in these pandemic times , I am sure having a jolly good time now , in fact about the best time in recent years in her absence . Please do not bother to call back again regarding the Marriage Proposal for our son .

The father then cut the phone and asked his son : Did you like that and did I make myself clear.

 Who was that on the line ? Was it Geeta your old class mate and our former neighbour's Daughter who always seemed to have a crush on you ?

Dad , that was Amma calling from Singapore , why do you never ask as to who is on the other side of the line while taking the 3 way call ------

I shudder to think of the reception you will get Appa when she is back in India .

This poor DAD is one person on this wide planet who is dreading the day when the Travel Restrictions are removed and normal Flights to and from Singapore are restored .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
