                          RUBIK MAGIC 

Freezing Temperatures in the Minus Forty Degrees range makes staying enclosed in the Warmth of your homes almost mandatory . This is more so if you are past your prime and into your SEVENTIES  .

This is when I came across a RUBIK CUBE left untouched by my Grandkids over a length of time .

I have never been a great fan of solving the Cube in the past during my more active years . One reason for the same was that try as hard as I might , I could never get past assembling the White in a haphazard collection at the top row  .  S Seeing the successful ones making the moves at a frenzied pace and my own ability at matching the pace was another reason .

The Cube in hand at present was no different . I decided to take Speed  out of the equation and after a lot of struggle could get the top face correct with all the corresponding Colours below  at their rightful places . This got me interested  and got me into viewing the Tutorial Videos into solving the  WHOLE CUBE.  

Getting the  First and Second  Layer correctly done after a few days of struggle was a big boost which got me really interested in going further .  Solving the bottom layer was  more interesting and was  more difficult as it involved making use of Four Algorithms . This was never an  easy task . Watching the various Videos in Hindi , English or Tamil had its own complications . The English ones refered to Face Clockwise as F and Anti Clockwise as F' . Figuring out L' for Left down was a big problem as it depended on the face you were looking at when you are seated in the front . Making out the B and B' for the BACK is even more difficult.

Tamil Videos were the most helpful as they simply mentioned it as Left Up or Face Clockwise or Anti Clockwise.  Getting everything correct took almost a Week before I could Successfully Solve the Cube .

Solving the Rubik Cube  is sure to get one  addicted till the Whole  Cube is Solved .

I am sure there would be ONE such Cube which was  playfully  used by  your Children or Grandchildren gathering dust in some corner of your House . Please do find the time to search for it and try Solving the Cube . It is sure to keep you usefully and mentally occupied for a while .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
